Engage ASC Procurement Team in supplier search in the event a qualified supplier is not already established in the following countries: Thailand, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Philippines, Korea, Taiwan, Singapore, Viet Nam and India.
Compile a list of multiple qualified sources in each commodity.
Send out a market basket of parts for each qualified source to quote.
Qualifying the Source
Complete ASC Supplier Survey.
Validate supplier’s customer references.
Verify certificates i.e. ISO, QS, TS and UL.
Obtain financial data and public information.
Physically audit each facility.
Create matrix of approved sources.
Initiate qualification orders and validate supplier based on quality, service and OTD performance.
